avsi rwanda mission is to implement projects in various sectors with a focus on education. each project is conceived as an instrument to promote awareness of the worth and dignity of every person and of everyone involved. each person has in itself a need for communication and sharing, and creates an impact capable of generating positive change.

#1 Project Title: Kungahara Muhinzi | Wealthiest Farmer

Start date: 2023-11-01

Project location: Nyanza, Ruhango & Gicumbi Districts

The Kungahara project aims to enhance food and nutrition security and foster resilient food systems in Rwanda. This will be achieved by boosting sustainable food production within socially and environmentally inclusive agricultural value chains across the Gicumbi, Ruhango, and Nyanza districts.

#2 Project Title: CARE (Comprehensive solutions for increased Access to mental health Rooted in communities and Enhancing public services)

Project location: Nyanza, Gicumbi and Gatsibo

Carried out with our action partners Ndera NPH and the University of Rwanda). This project’s activities are based in Gicumbi and Nyanza (FDH) and also in Gatsibo (EKFS). The project aims to enhance the resilience of people with MNS conditions and of their families through a community-based approach.

#3 Project Title: Distance Support Programme (DSP)

The distance support program adresses major problems in Rwanda aiming to build resilient families, able to take care of the needs of their children and to educate them to be responsible citizens through a holistic community based approach PACOME (PArents COMmunauté Ecole)

Key beneficiaries targeted: 1354 children (with their families)
