WOMEN, PEACE AND SECURITY

UN Women triple mandate to work on women, peace and security is unique. At the global, regional, and country levels, we provide normative support, coordination of the UN system and programs to deliver immediate changes in women’s lives. These three pieces operate in a dynamic feedback loop. Norms and policies set the terms and objectives for actions implemented through coordination and programs. At the same time, evidence from programs and advocacy through coordination help continually push agreed standards for progress.
