Environmental and Social Management Framework FIP

The fundamental challenge of Rwanda is a dense and rapidly increasing population on a fragile and rapidly
eroding land resource, exacerbated by climate change. The Development of Agroforestry and Sustainable
Agriculture project is expected to contribute to solving these challenges by advocating and supporting the
restoration and rehabilitation of landscapes including degraded lands with agroforestry systems for
sustainable agricultural development.
