Persons with disabilities are one ofthe largest minorities and most vulnerable groups in Thailand.According to the Disability Survey conducted by the National StatisticalOffice (2017), disability prevalence in Thailandwas 5.5% of the population, equivalentto 3.7 million people. The proportion of personswith disabilities living on less than $1.25 a day was 16.1%,which indicates extreme poverty. UNDP Thailand aims to improve the lives ofthe people in Thailand and knows thatthe Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)will never be fully achieved if personswith disabilities are left behind and not meaningfully included in development.
